How to get the perfect salon look at home
With some practice, you can have your nails looking like you just got back from the salon. There are tips and tricks on how that you are either born knowing you like every human on earth have to learn. You can see how to learn the process in the videos below.
It takes a few times to practice to get it remotely good looking so don't beat yourself up if you cant get it, that's what a brush and acetone is for.
Tips in the video above
- Start with a clean nail - remove all polish
- use cuticle oil and an orange stick to push them back
- file your nails IN ONE DIRECTION
- wash your hands to get oils, dirt off
- use rubbing alcohol and a makeup sponge to clean nails
- apply a base coat to protect your nails from stains and keeps your color last
- Do not shake your bottle, roll between your hands
- use newer polish with a good formula
- start in the middle of your nail slightly away from your cuticles
- use thin coats
- cap the tip on your first application
- wait until your first layer is completely dry before moving on to the second
- go back and clean up any polish near your cuticles or skin, angled brush is great
- angle brush and acetone
- check that your nails are dry and then apply topcoat
